I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

Great location, great breakfast, lovely room, if a little tired in places. Bed and bedding great quality and very comfy. Breakfast buffet excellent. Packed breakfast to take away a little disappointing. Stayed 3 nights but didn't eat in the restaurant other than breakfast. Staff helpful and willing. My only real issue was that the room was stiflingly hot and the staff were not able to do anything about it as they said the air con didn't work in October. Not sure why it was so hot as it wasn't especially warm outside.

  • a beautiful escape from the hustle & bustle of Beijing
Brisbane | Oct 14, 2015 | Trip type: Solo travel

After a long flight I was thankful to have organised a hotel transfer from the airport considering my flight arrived at 12.30am. The airport staff and driver made the beginning of my holiday so easy. The hotel foyer is such a relaxing and gorgeous calming entrance and I was pleasantly greeted on arrival and acknowledging that I was tired, checkin was as easy. My room was more than I expected and greatly enjoyed the luxurious bathroom amenities. After a wonderful sleep, I drew back the curtains in my room that faced the main road to see that the sky was blue and the weather was clear. After a huge breakfast which thanks to Rain & staff my teacup was never empty I was ready to explore Beijing.
This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Forbidden City, Wangfujing (main shopping mall) & the subway is so close. Being there during the week of one of China's busiest times of the year, after exploring the city (walking) it was such a beautiful hotel to return to, a very tranquil feel and having the staff checking to make sure all is ok was very comforting. My whole 8 days were exploring different parts of Beijing, when the weather wasn't as clear and I chose not to walk, Mataei and the conceirge continually made sure the taxi drivers new exactly where I needed to go. Also thanks to John Spooner for your invaluable advice when out and about in Beijing :)

  • Beautiful, atmospheric hotel, great location.
Manchester, United Kingdom | Oct 13, 2015 | Trip type: Family

Beautiful, large rooms. Great bathrooms, very clean and exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had, but the restaurants in the evening weren't great. Also - avoid the packed breakfast at all costs, it was just yesterday's stale pastries. The staff all had good English. The pool was slightly chilly and the changing facilities were a bit tatty.

  • Outstanding service and quality
Durban, South Africa | Oct 11, 2015 | Trip type: Solo travel

Walking into the Raffles Beijing Hotel after a long flight is like coming home. You are greeted by a host of super friendly staff who rally around you to ensure your every comfort is met. With all the smiling faces and help around, your tiredness vanishes as you take in the sumptuous reception hall. The hotel is a grand one with classical features and interesting artwork and furniture. The staff are efficient and even went out of their way to help me tip my driver since I had no Chinese currency on hand. I was escorted to my room by Georgina Zhang who made sure the room was to my satisfaction. She kindly took me on a tour of the hotel so that I could find spaces and places easily in this HUGE hotel. Much to the amusement of the staff, the one day I had in Beijing was spent in cooking classes. John Spooner, the Raffles Ambassador, this is a reminder, I am the cooking class lady :) - thank you for all your help and assistance in getting me to my classes on time. And for all the other advice....John is a walking talking Beijing-pedia - he provided some great tips on getting about and he is always in the lobby to welcome guests back.. The staff at the concierge desk - sorry I didn't get your names - were helpful, friendly and always willing to assist. It was wonderful to be met by the friendly front office manager Matei Savescu the morning of my departure who made sure that check out was smooth and courteous. The service, rooms, food, location and quality at the Raffles Beijing Hotel is simply superb! I will be back, sooner than you think......
