Really Fantastic Hotel in Beijing
lisafeld
Jan 11, 2019 | Trip type: FamilyI'm an American let me start by saying that. So there is a level of comfort that is needed far beyond what are European would consider excellent. The hotel is comfortable, the bed is a good quality, the linen is a good quality. Bathrobes we're heavy terry cloth also excellent quality plenty of towels and yes washcloths also excellent quality. The room is furnished tastefully extremely close to a huge shopping area with plenty of restaurants. The staff is gracious, really couldn't ask for a better Hotel. The only thing I would add to be careful is getting a taxi for the airport. The hotel does not flag down taxi it calls for taxi and as you know taxis can pick up a fair that they are not close to it all which might make you run late for the airport. So please be mindful of that. Other than that it was a great day and I will definitely stay there again.
Marketing N, 总经理 at Beijing Hotel NUO, responded to this reviewDear lisafeld,
It is a pleasure to read your positive comments.
I will share them with the Ladies and Gentlemen who strive every day to ensure the well being of our guests. We are so thrilled we were able to fulfill your expectations. Yes the cabs are unfortunately not allowed to pass empty on Chang An Avenue thus having to order/call them for pick up.
Hope to see you back in our hotel when your travels take you back in Beijing and thank for having chosen Beijing Hotel NUO.
Sincerely,
Aref

Excellent except for heat ( No a/c during winter)

New York City, New York | Dec 14, 2018 | Trip type: BusinessExcellent hotel and hospitality. Originally was accommodated in a large room that was very hot and they explained a/c does not work during winter.
They Suggested an external fan which I rejected and eventually replaced the room to a room which at least could open the window. Otherwise, excellent service, very spacious. Excellent breakfast. Very nice little things like surprising you with flowers, sweets and fruits to the room every now or then.
Would have been a 5 stars lest the heat issue which I later read is a repeat complaint by customers.Marketing N, 总经理 at Beijing Hotel NUO, responded to this reviewDear orenfue,
Thank you for having chosen Beijing Hotel NUO while in China's capital city.
We appreciate your recognition and I will share your positive comments to the Ladies and Gentlemen in the different departments. I apologize for the inconvenience you experience and unfortunately we were unable to respond to your opportunity. The Engineering team is working on getting a new system to allow both system (cold and heat) to work simultaneously. We trust this will be solved soon.
Hope to see you again when your travels take you back in Beijing.
Sincerely,

FANTASTIC
Robert M
Oakville, Canada | Dec 10, 2018 | Trip type: FamilyThis is a stunning hotel. A great location for site seeing and shopping. The hotel itself is beautiful. Five star amenities and service. Our room was beautiful, clean and full of little extras. The restaurant was fantastic. The manager brought several traditional dishes for us to try for dinner and was extremely helpful. The buffet breakfast is one of the very best we have ever had. Highly recommend the hotel. We will be back.
