I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Hotel needs a more friendly staff and "refreshing"!
    La Crosse, Wisconsin | Mar 22, 2018

The hotel is in a great location which is why I didn't rate our experience lower. When we arrived at the hotel at about 5PM there was no doorman or bell man so we had to lug our own suitcases in. Front staff was ok for the check in but not very welcoming. The concierge was unpleasant so we had our local tour guide book restaurant reservations for us. We were in a suite giving us access to the Executive Lounge. The room was clean but the furnishings need to be updated. Towels and shower curtain were very frayed. Repair work in the bathroom was done but very shoody. The veneer from the doors was falling off.
We did have a better experience in the lounge with staff who were very pleasant and eager to please. Looks like the lounge was recently renovated and it looked great. There was a happy hour every night in the Lounge with lots of nice snacks. However if you stopped at the Lounge during the day there was only coffee and tea-no bottled water, soda or juice.
The Wi-Fi was free and pretty reliable.
As it stands now, I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Great location, plenty of restaurants, shops and transport links within minutes. Lovely looking hotel, with grand foyer as you enter. Quick check-in and went to room on 9th floor. Upon leaving lift, we were immediately hit by a strong odour of cigarette smoke in the 'non-smoking'hotel. Whilst the room was just ok in this regard, the shower stank. Thinking it would improve, we unpacked and showered but by the evening, the smell was so bad that we requested a room change and the lack of fuss that this was dealt with suggested that this is a problem that they're used to (a chance chat with another guest in the lift revealed that they'd changed rooms three times.) First room was dingy with loose electrical sockets and small TV. Second room on a higher floor was better maintained but was still very dingy. The energy-saving lights they use give out so little light that I frequently had to use my phone light to read things (as with so many hotels these days, no main room light, just side lights.) Shower room was ok but shower door was jammed open, safes in both rooms failed on us: the first only opened after 20 attempts when we tried to change rooms and the second wouldn't lock. Both rooms had a lot of window views which ensured a bright room in the day but who stays in their room in the day. Concierge Erik spoke very good English and organised an excellent driver for our trip to the Great Wall in Mutianyu (RNB650.) Other staff, whilst pleasant, had a distinct lack of English-speaking but as this was my first trip to the country, I didn't know what to expect so I guess that's possibly more my problem than theirs. Overall, an ok experience but I have to say, I did expect more from this chain. That said, the price we paid was pretty good so value for money was probably actually pretty good.

  • Very good hotel in Beijing
San Jose, California | Mar 20, 2018 | Trip type: Couples

We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. You can ask the hotel to send the hotel name and address in Chinese in an email. The reservation desk is very helpful in replying to your emails. I used the Chinese name/address and got a taxi from the airport taxi area. The taxi far was $150 CNY.

The check-in was smooth and quick. They gave a free upgrade to the deluxe room. The room was very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The concierge desk was very helpful with the Great wall tour arrangement and other tourist attraction nearby. The breakfast was very good and very much worth the price. I would highly recommend this hotel for Beijing tourists

Macau, China | Mar 17, 2018 | Trip type: Business

Got in to the Novotel Peace Hotel and immediately the staff came to us informing that our Check in was on the 19th floor (Executif floor). Check in was fast and friendly! Got in to the room and had a welcome message from the GM! It just blew my mind!
Room was spacious, clean and comfortable! And warm (was snowing outside!!)!
All the staff was extremely professional, friendly and helpful!
Although considered “old hotel”, is still a very attractive one as it’s location is fabulous!!
    A place to stay again!!

  • Dated and Tired
Perth, Australia | Mar 14, 2018 | Trip type: Couples

Stayed at the Novetel for 4 days in February 2018 in a superior room. The room was very shabby and hot. One window had boarding blocking the street below. The desk was collapsing off the wall and the furniture scratched and old. Breakfast was quite good and the service excellent. The hotel is in a good location not far from Walking street but the rooms let it down big time.
