Great Location - Helpful Staff
ReneeReviewBoulder, Colorado | Mar 16, 2019 | Trip type: Couples
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gym and pool are lovely and the breakfast buffet hit the spot. They are walking distance from the underground, the street food market and shopping malls galore. It felt really nice to have a 1 bedroom flat in the city and being able to do laundry in our room was fantastic! The pillows and bed linen were comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen is equipped with an espresso machine with pods replaced daily - nice touch for a serviced apartment :-). The only quirky thing is the oversized jetted tubs - on one hand, the idea of having such a large "hot tub" sized bath in one's room put's a smile on your face - on the other - it takes up so much of the bathroom and takes forever to fill....I'd rather not have it there, but that's just me - LOLShaS239, Director of Sales at The Imperial Mansion, Beijing Marriott Executive Apartments, responded to this review

Great Hotel - Location is the best for Beijing but there is a horrible smell
OktayS_13Rochester, New York | Mar 13, 2019 | Trip type: Business
I travel to Beijing for business 2-3 times a year. I've been staying in this hotel every time. The apartments specious and well-serviced but there is a major problem with a horrible smell in the hallways. It smells like a dead animal and I reported that horrible smell a couple of times and I asked them change my room which they honored but in my most recent trip (February 16th-21st, 2019) the smell was still there. I complained to the front desk and they told me that the smell comes from another business in the basement of the building and there is nothing they can do about it. It is a shame because the location of the hotel is great, the service and staff is amazing. The other issue in this hotel is the rooms are getting older and outdated and they might need to update the decor soon.ShaS239, Director of Sales at The Imperial Mansion, Beijing Marriott Executive Apartments, responded to this review

Great Accommodation in Central Location
Voyager811386Manchester, United Kingdom | Feb 12, 2019 | Trip type: Couples
We had a 5 night stay in a 1 bedroom apartment at the end of a touring holiday in China. Check in was very smooth and we were quickly shown to our apartment. Lots of space with a lounge area, kitchen, dining area and separate bedroom with a large round soaking tub in the bathroom area off the bedroom. One of the kitchen cupboards held a washer/drier which was very useful. Washing detergent and snacks/meal ingredients were available from the local store on the ground floor of the block (turn right out of the hotel front door, then right at the corner).
Everything was very clean and in working order. The cleaners came in every day and left us ample supplies of clean towels, coffee and bottled water.
Breakfast was included in the room rate and was a buffet, plus food in heated containers (often lukewarm) and cooked to order stir fry type items plus an egg station. If you wanted hot food, then the made to order station was definitely the best bet.
Due to a late evening flight from Beijing our airport transfer was not until 7 pm. The hotel gave us a slightly later checkout time of 1 pm at no charge, stored our luggage for us and were happy for us to wait in the lobby once we had done our final sightseeing. They even offered us complementary bottles of water while we were waiting.
The location of the hotel was ideal, 2 minutes from the pedestrianised shopping street and from a metro station and several tourist sites in walking distance.ShaS239, Director of Sales at The Imperial Mansion, Beijing Marriott Executive Apartments, responded to this review

Great location and large space for families
sfphotogSan Francisco, California | Jan 28, 2019 | Trip type: Family
We stayed here in November, 2018, and we had a wonderful stay. I do agree with others that the rooms could use updating, but certainly, when compared to a regular hotel room, the room was incredibly spacious!
I traveled here with our 2 kids (7 and 9), and my wife--and my parents were booked in a separate room.
As an SPG gold member, I had excellent communication over email with the service team before our arrival.
The room are a very good size--I don't know the square footage exactly, but my rough estimate is 600-700 square feet. My kids loved the large bathtub inside the room, and we took advantage of both the kitchen facilities and washer/dryer.
Also, we loved the indoor pool on the top floor (which enjoyed an indirect view of the Forbidden City) where we could unwind and play.
We were able to walk everywhere (including the Forbidden City)--this location is incredibly central.
Additionally, the staff member who truly made our trip easier and more comfortable was Brady. He was a concierge, and he was super gracious and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Very often he called Didi cars for us (this is before I downloaded the app myself), and was super patient in answering any questions we had ranging from where to find breakfast outside the hotel (there's a very local place across the street) to helping us purchase Forbidden City tickets to giving advice on when to leave the hotel to arrive at the train station. We engaged Brady 1-2 times per day (at least), and he always greeted us with a smile and warmth.
One last point--I've noticed a lot of hotels in China will charge extra for a rollaway bed. Our daughter simply slept on the sofa (more than comfortable enough for her), and our king bed comfortably accommodated me, my wife, and 7 year old son.
I highly recommend the Imperial Mansion!

Superb appartments and location
SuperwuppieVoorschoten, The Netherlands | Jan 24, 2019 | Trip type: Business
Booked the MEA for an overnight stay. Got upgraded to a double appartment on the 8th floor. Spacious rooms and excellent bathrooms. Highlight is the batch tub (see
Photo). You are supposed to see the Forbidden City from the swimming pool. I think it better to visit the Forbidden City. Tianamen Square and the City are in walking distance. Behind the hotel is a small shopping area.
Dear valued guest,
It's our honor to have you staying with us and much appreciate for sharing us your stay experience.
I read that you had a great time at our apartments and our staff service, hotel location and hotel facilities all met your expectation. We are all looking forward to see you next time whenever your travel or business brings you back to Beijing next time. Thanks.
