I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

Overall nice spacious apartments or small hotel suite. Could only find one person in the entire Hotel they could speak English and understand English. I'm always shocked at American hotel chains overseas when employees don't speak English. Hotel room service food was good, not great and the hotel itself has almost zero options for late-night dining or bars. Next to a super nice shopping center called WF Central with lots of restaurants and shops. The condition of the rooms are marginal, the first room we had had mold growing all over the bathroom and showers, all of the hardwood was scratched and the apartment was extremely Dusty like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in months. Management and staff were very responsive to request including moving us to a different room second night serious the condition of the rooms are marginal, the first room we had had mold growing all over the bathroom and showers, all of the hardwood was scratched and the apartment was extremely dusty like it hadn't been thoroughly clean and months. Management and staff were very responsive to request including movie does to a different room second night. It was a great value but if I had to do it override probably stay at the JW Marriott or Ritz Carlton

  • Great location!

My family and I (all 11 of us) were in China for my nieces college graduation. We took the bullet train from Shanghai to Beijing and I was happy to have reserved three, two bedroom apartments for the group. (My original reservation for two, three bedroom apartments at another Marriott property in the area was canceled a week out of my due date, so I was thankful Corporate Marriott could assist and this hotel was very accommodating in such short notice.)
The apartments were very large, living space comfortable, the kitchen was nice, with dishwasher and washer/dryer. There was no detergent for either however so you will have to buy it or bring your own. The main living space and floors were dusty and not as clean as I’m used to for a Marriott, but overall, a nice place.

Restaurant on site was good, variety of both American and Chinese cuisine, however, breakfast was buffet only and was pricey if you don’t eat much.

Within walking distance to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square- security is very tight in that area and you will need your passport or some form of identification to get tickets for the Forbidden City.

Also, close to two big malls and a pedestrian mall with plenty of shops. The one mall has a Cheesecake Factory if you need a burger! The bathroom at the restaurant is lovely- (you will understand when you see the other local bathrooms!)
In the Malls at Oriental Plaza is a local salon called Cutie Nails that I would recommend- Maria gave one of the best manicures I’ve ever had! There is also a pharmacy in there that opens before the mall does in case you need anything.

The staff was helpful and accommodating!
    Would return again.

-If you are looking for the best location in Beijing, you have found your spot! Highly suggest staying here if you are visiting as a tourist. Super close to the Beijing night markets and the Forbidden City. Walking distance to most of the hot spots.
-The rooms are MASSIVE! Tons of space in your room with great showers and amenities.
-The staff were lovely, but we did have a hard time communicating - their English was broken, but we made things work with Google Translate app. They were very helpful in getting us taxis and pointing us in the right direction.
-Breakfast was AMAZING! Tons of options for all travelers - we ate a large breakfast each day and it lasted us for hours and hours.
-The hotel has a spa near the fitness center - it was very nice and we used it a couple times! The fitness center was very nice as well.
-Would highly recommend staying here in Beijing if you are looking for a very nice hotel in an excellent location. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • So- so

First, the hotel staff are delightful, helpful and speak pretty good English. This is extremely helpful when asking for help or recommendations. However, some things I was surprised about being a loyal Marriott member:
*There is no coffee in the lobby. If you want coffee beyond the two cups you’re allotted, you must either pay for the capsules that fit in your machine or wait until the restaurant opens at 6:30am. (There is however a McDonald’s up the street which is open 24hours or a Dunkin’ Donuts which opens at 10:00am.)
*Restaurant is good. Buffet for breakfast is also good at $22 dollars. You cannot order a la carte. It’s the buffet or nothing.
Washer/Dryer did not work well. Washer washed, dryer, washed. I’ve had one of these machines so I’m familiar with how they work. A little frustrating.
Kitchen essentials. There are no sharp knives but plenty of pots pans, dishes, cups and glasses. They do not give you dishwasher soap or dishwashing liquid nor did the cleaning people run the dishwasher so I’m not sure what you are expected to do when here for an extended period. Buy it or bring it yourself? There are paper towels which is a bonus! No tee-towels or sponges. Very strange. The kitchen garbage can is the size of an American powder room trash can. This is also strange.
Cleanliness is not of an American Marriott standard. Floors were dusty, kitchen cabinets were grimy. Some of the floor moldings were pulled away from the wall. Again, being a loyal Marriott guest, my expectations were high.
The positives - the location of the hotel is perfect. Much is within walking distance. The two bedroom suites are enormous with plenty of room. The bathrooms are beautiful with a large soaking tub in the master. Showers are roomy and amazing. Lots of closet space and storage. Beds and mattresses are very comfortable.
I rate this as average based on my personal (American) Marriott expectations.
