Questions & Answers

I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Excellent value & location, would stay again

At £35/night, outstanding value. 5 mins walk from Wangfujing St & Tiananmen dong subway, 10 mins walk from Tiananmen Square. As you exit the Forbidden city at the North Gate, would advise not to walk to hotel (as we did, as we did not know how far down Nanheyan Dajie it was. It is almost at the South end) Must be the best location in Beijing. Took the subway the next day for an easy journey to the Temple of Heaven, but could have walked. Also convenient for subway to Summer Palace (probably about 40 minutes), so no need to pay ridiculous amounts for a tour there.Would definitely stay again. They will also book trips to The Great Wall etc at very good prices, but didn't get chance this time, as only stayed one night. We ate at the restaurant outside the hotel by the entrance, with an "English menu" but definitely couldn't recommend it.Nice having a kettle & tea making facilities, but couldn't get WiFi to work. Staff very pleasant, but English not great

Amazingly positioned hotel, so close to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Really well positioned, clean and tidy but pretty tired. Very limited English speaking staff but friendly. We stayed with our 2 year old son and found the room comfortable although the bathroom was very limited in size.

This is a hotel I can recommend anyone who is staying as tourist in Beijing. It is very close to the most central sights. The staff is friendly and the rooms are quite good. Given the low price, this is a very good deal. Wifi is very slow but free. Beds are a bit hard. The walls are a bit thin, which means that you clearly hear the voices of people in other rooms or the corridor. Smoking is allowed and I felt the smell in my room coming from other rooms through the ventilation. Breakfast is not included, but the provided buffet breakfast is quite good. It has a lot of Western breakfast items, such as pancakes, waffles, bacon, egg, toast etc.

  • Not the best rooms but great customer care

We had originally booked the basement room thinking it couldn't be so bad for the one night we were there. Upon entering the room we noticed it wasn't just old but it was VERY unclean. So we asked front desk how much it would be to "upgrade" to a standard room. It wasn't much so we went for it even though the room offered to us was 2 twins instead of 1 queen. This room was cleaner but the hotel would REALLY benefit from replacing the carpets. Overall I think we could have found something a bit better but it was fine for the one night we were there. We had super loose travel plans when we arrived in Beijing from Hong Kong and Shanghai. Our only reason for stopping in Beijing was for The Great Wall. We thought we could figure out all the details once we got there but that proved to be difficult. Front desk was more than happy to help with all our questions and booked us a private car to The Great Wall. After returning from the wall we had planned on booking train tickets back to Shanghai but they were all sold out so the front desk helped us find a last minute flight. They were super accomadating and helpful. If it weren't for them our lack of planning would have been much more stressful. HUGE thank you to the staff!!
