I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • good but ...
Alexandria, Egypt | Nov 18, 2017 | Trip type: Solo travel

zhong an hotel can be considered a good hotel but it has got its positives and negatives, so to sum up things:
1- check in and check out went very promptly and smoothly
2- reception staff have got a couple of them that speak helpful English and they can help you by suggesting some sightseeing places in Beijing and how to get there with a good free subway map in English, they are ready to answer your questions as much as their simple English words and phrases can do and of course this is very rare in China
3- although their rooms are rather small they are nice and clean, with simple furniture, good bed, nice amenities in the bathroom like a tooth brush, tooth paste and a comb that are changed daily with very good housekeeping
4- their restaurant is very nice, the breakfast is very good if you want to try the Chinese food and there is some western food as well, nice chopsticks or a fork and a knife you choose, and I have tried also some Chinese specialties in lunch and dinner that turned out to be very good with reasonable prices
5- good free wifi in your room but of course sites like facebook and google are barred in China
1- although they always mention they are near to Beijing railway station and subway station yet you should bare in mind that this is considerd near according to the Chinese standards and very large distances and huge areas, so actually you have to walk about 700 meters or so from the station to the hotel
2- the hotel itself is situated in a very old, filthy, ugly, smelly hutong full of very low standard locals, and you can imagine how it becomes really really so scary and frightening and so dark at night, something like a real horror film, yet I have to admit that it is safe to walk there as the hotel is just next to a big police station
3- there is no lift in the hotel, so you have to struggle with your luggage when you arrive or leave the hotel
4- rooms have no mini bar to have a cold drink or water, and there is no safe for your valuables !!!!!
5- the TV in the room has got only Chinese channels so if you are a tourist you will have no benefit of it
6- bathrooms although in a good state but yet look very old
7- no international phone calls at this hotel

so, finally, it is a budget hotel, it is cheap so it is very basic.

  • Average hotel
England, United Kingdom | Apr 16, 2017 | Trip type: Friends getaway

(+)The hotel is good value for money, as it is in a good central location, near a train station, a supermarket and a shopping centre.

(-) If you get to the hotel a bit late, the alleyway might look a little scary. The room we got smelt of cigarette smoke. The toilet paper they give is very minimal.

  • Fabulous breakfast
London, United Kingdom | Aug 24, 2016 | Trip type: Solo travel

This hotel is a 5 minute walk through ungentrified hutongs to the metro at Beijing Railway station. it's very Chinese. The rooms are modest and functional but clean, and the a/c works well a does the hot water. The breakfast was excellent - lovely flavours - and a wide choice of Chinese dishes with the option of toast etc too. Reasonbly priced and well connected, it's a comfortable reasonably priced option..

  • Charming Hotel in the Heart of Beijing
    Marci H
Los Angeles, California | Jun 30, 2016 | Trip type: Friends getaway

This is a very charming and historic hotel in the heart of Beijing. The staff was very helpful with bus directions and it was great fun to hop on the bus for visits to Tianaman Square, the Forbidden Palace, Woman's and Children Museum and the shopping areas. The Beijing Railway Station is very close and there is a mall right down the street with good food options. The courtyard of the hotel is very nice, always full of children, families and elders. The hotel arranged a wonderful tour to the Great Wall with a delightful English speaking guide. Excellent Chinese style breakfast for 20 yuan was served daily.

Dublin, Ireland | May 14, 2016 | Trip type: Family

The hotel is nothing special. We stayed in there on two occasions, the first time it was only ok but the second time the room was shabby and did not have window (!), the toilet flush did not work properly (!). When reported, they could not understand me in the reception, then a woman arrived and surprisingly it worked that time then it did not work again for a few hours. Breakfast was acceptable. The coffee was absolutely awful. Generally you can stay there but expect minimum. Not recommended.
