Hi Tech, Lots of Art and Unique
JobetravelerOct 12, 2015 | Trip type: Couples
This hotel is impressive! From the first look at the building where it resides to the art at every glance. We stayed 5 nights in September. The staff are all genuinely kind and they try to be helpful but at times the language barrier got in the way. We had booked a "patio" room thinking "how nice to have an outside place to sit". Unfortunately although it was the most unique "patio" I have ever seen it is really not outside. The hotel is the top few floors of a multi use building all enclosed in glass. The patio is actually inside overlooking the mall below. I imagine it would be nice on a cold day but while we were there it was quite warm so without fresh breezes we really couldn't enjoy it. Most days we returned from touring REALLY READY for AIR Conditioning, so the patio was really useless for the days we were there. The air conditioning worked great except the day the housekeeper cut all the power to the room (there is a switch for it) and so it was hot when we returned. The high tech features of the room were fun (loved the toilet and the massage chair). Never did figure out the sound system or the light system. The mini bar was stocked nicely but we had to ask for additional items (and no wine). The happy hour was nice but you couldn't take anything to your room (ours was steps away). Overall a great choice.
Outstanding & Attentive Art infused hotel!
Yasmina ACounty Dublin, Ireland | Oct 11, 2015 | Trip type: Solo travel
I stayed in Beijing for 7 nights in late August and chose Hotel Eclat based on the reviews and it's location. I was staying solo for most of my time in China, so wanted a hotel in a safe/upmarket area which it is!
The rooms are incredible- Really spacious with coffee pods/3d tv/massage chairs/cute gifts at night time/rain shower etc being some of the amazing attributes in the room- I chose the basic room so could only imagine what some of the larger rooms or suites came with! The views (on a non foggy day!) are fantastic- especially in the outdoor lift at night time! Breakfast is very filling- there is a buffet section full of the usually fruits/pastries/meats/yoghurts as well as chinese food etc but there is also an order option too- there were plenty of western breakfast options (eggs Benedict/omelettes etc) but I was in China so it was Dim Sum every morning for me! The Hotel is conveniently located in an upmarket shopping centre (amazing dali artwork through out the centre and the hotel too!) and there is a taxi rank right outside the hotel! Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel! One of my favourite highlights of staying in Hotel Eclat was the complimentary Afternoon-tea (cakes/sweet cart +teas!) and Happy Hour (huge choice of alcohol!) that happened every day!
The staff are not invasive at all, but super polite! Very knowledgable and they speak good English (rare in Beijing!).
I took private transfers that were arranged with the hotel to and from the airport and taxi's through out my stay in Beijing.
I enjoyed my holiday so much that I didn't get to the use the gym- and if I had to nip-pick it would have been lovely to have a spa located in the hotel- but other then that, I would go back to Hotel Eclat in a heart beat! Truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

We didn't know this hotel as it is brand new (3 years old). We were very glad to stay here. The breakfast is amazing (French pastries, smoked salmon, hot courses, fresh orange juice...)
The manager (Chris) of this hotel is very helpful and will do all he can to make sure you enjoy your stay here!
Rooms are very design with plenty of very cool gadget (3D tv, design shower, private Teresa's very cool).
I recommend this hotel !!!!
Great place, outstanding service
