I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • A must in a lifetime for a golfer.

Wow. Where to start. 12 Fantastic golf courses. 5 star resort. Exceptional service.
I surprised my wife by taking her to Mission Hills for our 20th wedding anniversary. (China). The resort is definitely 5 star and amazing. In some previous reviews I have seen lack of English a negative, but we found staff were learning English and many were super keen to practice with us. A big thank you to Linda (lounge bar), Nicole (business center), Jondy and Gen (lounge bar), who all went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic.
The running of 12 courses was amazing. Where ever you are playing your bag mysteriously appears. They have multiple golf shops for clothes and gear. The down stairs shop has the cheapest balls. Some were 2 for 1. You will need heaps. Prices for golf gear more expensive than Australia. Titliest Pro V1 499RMB $125.
Caddies were good despite little english, although not as good as green reading as I found the Thai.
The courses great, with some interesting holes, but expensive. We played Olazabal, Leadbetter, Peter Dye, Faldo & Annika. All had their great points. We played mid Sept which was just out of their wet season. This means we played in 32c temp with 90% humidity and no ball run. We got one day of rain which is where the caddies were priceless. They expect you to play in all conditions except lightning. No refunds. The good thing about this time of year was it was quiet. We teed off around 10 each day and never had a round over 4 hours. I was told by locals that in a few weeks time you will not get a round in under 5 hours. Although they have marshals who issue written warnings. They time you by each hole. ?????
The resort runs a shuttle bus every 30 mins between Dongguan, middle valley and Shenzhen. ( 5 courses at Dongguen, Faldo & Dye at middle valley, and the other 5 at Shenzhen.) From Shenzhen you can catch shuttles to the border and I was told their new shopping mall when open.
The only down side was the pool was a long walk from the lobby. Often we were the only ones in it.
They had heaps of rec activities, eg billiard room with 4 tables, but they charged for using anything. All 4 tables were not level and the guy came back at 50 minutes to say "hour up" despite no one else being there. These were the small things that the Chinese have not quite got right about 5 star.
When we could not log on to email or facebook the business staff were fantastic to try to fix the problem. It was after a while we realized it was the Chinese strict firewalls that stopped us. Lucky I have another email account other than gmail so I could contact my parents.
Overall a once in a lifetime trip. Will I be going back - maybe. The accommodation was cheap but the golf expensive. If going back to the area I would definitely stay here, If going for a golf holiday I would probably go back to Thailand ( Black Mountain.) or the Gold Coast.

Spent 10 days at the Dongguan resort, this being the eighth golf trip there. The process from check in to check out was outstanding.rooms were fantastic. and golf operations were seamless. There were eight of us and the whole trip went without any issues at all.
The courses were all in great shape even for the wettest part of the year.
English is a bit of an issue but they eventually get all questions sorted.

  • great golf, great service, bloody expensive

This was my son and my first visit to China for a father son golf trip. On arrival at Mission Hills the resort itself was brilliant. The golf courses (the five we played) were all outstanding especially the Olazabal course and are well worth playing.
The service from staff is exceptional and the quality of the rooms and overall cleanliness of the resort were up to world standard however I have two complaints.
The price of food in all restaurants is ridiculous however to leave the resort would add additional costs for taxis or private shuttle so in most cases you just accept the costs and move on. My second minor complaint is that they charge for everything even to swim in the pool!!
staff very helpful but they do need to have more that speak better english as many do not understand at all.
Overall loved the golf courses and the caddies were brilliant. costs for everything not included in your package are too high.

If your serious about your golf then mission hills is for you. Dongguan is the pick of the three resorts on offer here for money. Its all about the golf here where the other has a much higher level of families and tourists. Courses here are simply superb and you need to bring your A game, especially on the Norman course. Its tough as hell and long. Leadbeater is a great track as well but well under the challenge that the norman course presents. Caddies are all young woman whom earn there living on course. About 100rmb is the right tip per caddie at the end of the round, bit more if there really good. Be careful, they dont know your game and your real yardage, especially if your miss hitting a few. They pick it up pretty quick but your the golfer , club selection is still your responsibility. They are young women be respectful.
Bring everything you need!!this joint is not cheap for your golfing needs and accessories. My $230 footjoys where over $600 in the proshop . Proshop , change rooms and day spa are world class. Best ive seen or used. Rooms are excellent as is the food. Some good options around resort if your careful ask the right questions . Get prices for drivers or cabs then stick to the deal.
Putt straight and punt on !

We were 8 men in the group. It was the first time for most of them. We played the challenging Norman course. The courses excellent but we suffered under the heat. Best time to go is in the fall when it's much cooler.
We had a bad experience though, a member of the group had his money stolen from their room safe while we were out playing. They caught the thief but it put damper to our otherwise fun outing.
