I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Small rooms

The food was good, there is WiFi, the service is also great, but the rooms were so small and the bath left a lot to dream about, and if you asked for a communicate room they don't have so don't even ask them. Also the staff english level was behind minimums, they never understood you.

I've been coming to this hotel for 6 years now. At first when I came it was a little tired but the transformation to make it very comfortable to a Western business traveler is amazing. The service the food the tv the internet the Starbucks the pub the bed the pillows....it all ticks the boxes. It's still not absolutely luxurious but the staff and management absolutely make my stay comfortable.

  • Nice hotel but avoid Humen

I stayed several nights at the Grand Noble Hotel in Humen Guangdong. The hotel in fine, nice rooms, staff and the food is good particularly in the 1st floor bar/restaurant. Unfortunately Humen isn't so nice. Handy for the Ferry to HKIA but not a lot more going for the City which is very busy and not very clean. Try GUANGZHOU which is very cosmopolitan. As far as the Grand Nobel goes though 4/5

I last reviewed this hotel a couple of years ago when I had been staying there for a 3 month extended stay. I have been back a couple of times in the last two years but this week, went for just a 1 night stay and I have to say - the welcome was fantastic. Staff there from almost 4 years ago recognised me and gave me a truly warm reception. The hotel is still pretty much the same with its main blessing now being Starbucks in the lobby area.
It does now look a little tired in places and could do with a bit of a facelift in the rooms and the menu could change a little too along with a complete new gym. Having said that - I would chose this over any other hotel in Humen Town - only because of the extra bit the staff always do.
As for Humen Town - that's changed a bit - no longer can you buy the "brand" goods in the shops - and if you do find it - it's not as good quality as it used to be. The main road has been improved not just in the surface but with new crossings as well which makes it a little safer. Sadly, despite the millions of RMB spent on the main bridge in the centre of town to improve the river - it still smells really bad - and this visit was in January - so who knows what it will be like in the hot season.
My final thoughts - the hotel score i have given is only very good this time - only because it needs a bit of love and attention. That doesn't deter from it's character - which lets face it, relies so heavily on its customer service. So for that side - i give it 10/10.

  • International hotel but no one speaks English
    Kotez
Noosa, Australia | Apr 13, 2015 | Trip type: Business

Have had to stay here a few times now. Early days people spoke or at least could understand English. Not any more. No chilled wines even though they have a large menu they have no wines that are on the menu. Its just a mess trying to get these nice people to understand anything. What has happened to the management?? Beds are very hard...try to get the housekeeping to place mattress toppers on the bed. Food is average and buffet breakfast always cold as no one closes the lids. Handy to accessory market and fabric market. Not many choices in Humen the other is Mels Weldon. Stayed there but air con is hopeless.
