I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Very good hotel in Fuzhou

It was my first time in Westin Hotel in Fuzhou and overall i was happy with my stay. Nice lobby, good size room and very clean. WiFi worked relatively good. Restaurant was acceptable but i would suggest to improve it a bit as with just a few things i believe it can be much better Location for me was very good as you are outside downtown and it is much easier to get in a and out and not suffer the traffic from downtown. Lobby bar was OK and service in general was very good. Would definitely return to this hotel.

My first stay with this Westin is not very impressive, somehow it felt very chinese, not as a 5-star international brand supposed to. Room was fine, didn't have much at breakfast, just enough to feed yourself for work later.

  • disappointed, 5 star hotel design but 3 star management

last time I stayed here was back in 2013, when this hotel was still quite new, I had very good impression so I came back for another 2 weeks stay this time.
    I am a bit disappointed.
First is the facility was not maintained very well, only 2 years it already look like a 10yrs old hotel, the nice yellow carpet with countless greyish dirt stain in dinning room, lobby and outside the room, broken napkin box, mould stain on the wood frame, paint chipping off from the ceiling in the room...
2nd is the cleaning, apart from the dirty carpet outside the room, mirrors, washbasin, bathtubs, room floor could have been cleaned more thoroughly, there are unknown short blk body hair in my bed after house keeping cleaning?
I'm sure the cleaning staffs work very hard, but some training is required in order to understand what is expected.
3rd is the service, it would have been considerate not to arrange the 11th floor room for female guest who is here alone, I do not mind the incident at all, but would have felt more taken care of if I have been put in another floor. The breakfast quality is not as good as before, at 9:30am on Sat, there are already no culinary, glasses or juices available, hotel guests are looking for chopstick/glasses everywhere, the place is chaotic, I definitely felt like in a 3 star.
service for longer stay guest - when I stayed in intercontinental for a week, I get a small fruit basket every morning, it does not cost much for the hotel, but was a nice gesture and motivate me to come back next time
The difference between a good 5 star and a bad one all lies in small details. I wanted to leave this review on hotel internal website so they can hear it and not affect their business negatively, unfortunately comment page on their website is deleted.
Too bad I might not stay here again, I love the westin bed, had the best sleep here, many of my colleagues already moved to shangrila, I hope the hotel management will read this and catch up on their work.

nice spacious room, welcome chocolate and candy, efficient front desk, nice french speaking quest relation at the club floor, ok selection of food for breakfast and happy hour but why only cheese in the breakfast !!! on top of a shopping mall with international brand. bell boy only react after i go to find him to help with finding a cab,

  • Not Westin standard, not even Sheraton. Chinese budget hotels are better.

    Shanghai | Jul 12, 2015 | Trip type: Business

I was not impressed, arriving late at night after a long day travelling across China and despite my room having been secured by a credit card - no room at the Inn. At least not a non-smoking room as booked.
I was upgraded to the biggest suite I have ever seen but it was obvious that no one had used the room for a long time. A musty odour. The hotel knew I was coming, the room had been secured, they knew the room I had booked had been given to someone else but they were totally unprepare for my arrival and expectation of a room.
At least they could have done something to check the smoking room and turn on the air conditioning or open a window to change the air. So having gone through all the aggro of sorting things out, sleep was far away when I needed it most.
We book 5 star hotels on business trips to avoid these issues and Westin is a premium hotel. So this was a terrible experience, and a poor rating really doesn't work so terrible it is. A huge suite does not make up for it either especially with a late arrival and early departure. They could have given me a free breakfast and that would have helped but they didn't. Rubbish experience really.
