I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

On my birthday, I decided to visit Hangzhou as I always admired the saying of there's a heaven above, then there's Hangzhou. Longing for the traquil water, delicate bridges and beautiful traditional Chinese architecture, I wanted to stay somewhere that captures the very essence of Hangzhou whilst still having access to modern day convenience and luxurious service offering. Look no further, Four Season Westlake Hangzhou is your best bet. The location is unbeatable and you can even take a boat travelling from the hotel's private water to the main westlake. The garden of the hotel is magnificent which mimics the gardens of ancient China in Hangzhou. The lotus pond looked particularly romantic against the backdrop of the blue sky. Better still you can enjoy different views of the gardens in your room, at the reception lounge, or in the outdoor leisure pool.

The decor in the room and the general design of the room is in great harmony with the overall theme and the facilities are of great quality including marble bath tub, walking in shower. I particularly enjoyed my cup of longjing tea on the patio while reading the buddism book offered by the hotel, surrounded by the summery circada sound.

Upon arrival, we have received the warmest welcome. We were seated to be checked in, all background and details of the hotel were given. Penny who helped us with luggage to the room, guided us to different places of hotel including the best routes to places(yes, it is that big and we did get lost after a couple of drinks! )The hotel staff also went to length to arrange a sepecial celebration package for me, including cake, flower, fruits and a bottle of bubbles (which they do charge for the bubbles unlike some other places but the cake and others are complimentary). They also handwrote the birthday card which I appreciate much more and felt truly welcome. The guest experience manager Sisi Zhan, was remarkable, not only she assisted me in setting up the room exactly how I would like it (details down to choice of pillows for myself and companion and dental floss), she also rang up personally after I checked in to apologise she wasn't there personally when I arrived and to
make sure that everything is exactly how I wanted them to be.

My good mate also booked the hotel restaurant, JinSha restaurant, for the night to celebrate my birthday. He is a semi professional foodie and has been going around China to taste restaurants listed on Black Pearl list (which is akin to Michelin Star rating but claim to be more authoritative at rating Chinese food). No surprise here as JinSha is rated as 3 diamonds on Black Pearl, my food loving friend thoroughly enjoyed the bountiful offerings of gourmet dishes. A little surpise at the end of the meal, we recieved a traditional dessert normally served on birthdays, an exquisite longevity peach bun, with a free flowing sweet and savioury centre oozing out when bitten into. The only thing I could fault is that some waiting stuff didn't quite know their food origin and didn't really spend time to explain what was being served. Another minor point, the restaurant doesn't have slimline ranged mixer (tonic water)to cater for those who want to sip on gin but doesn't want the unnecessary calories.

All in all, I am grateful for all the effort the staff made and thanking myself for choosing to stay here. Four Season Hangzhou has fullfilled my dreams of this amazingly graceful city.

If you come to Hangzhou, make Four Season a must.

    Hi there,
I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service you offered me the days (4SEP-7SEP2019) of our stay at the Hotel of Four Sesons Hangzhou.
I had a wonderful four days vacation.
I enjoyed the peace and quiet I needed, very high quality offered in all the facilities of your gorgeous hotel. This definitely added to the excellent service of the staff in every segment of your hotel.
Every staff members with whom I came in contact was attentive, kind and professional including receptionists, room service staffs and porters, and I also receive a welcome card from Michael Branham(General Manager) in hand. It was so surprise.

I would like to give my special thanks for Guest Experience Manager Sisi Zhan.
A warm welcome greeting when arrival. Also, my room safty box is not working when check-out. It was a bit rush becasue I need to caught up the train on time. I do understand it was an accident. Sisi showed her professional skills to solve the problems and offered advices. Luckily the safty box was opened finally and I found that Sisi had arranged the hotel limosine to send me the train station. It was so impressive.
Also, Room Service Staff Ms. Leong did a really good job for decoration and tidy up. Understand my needs to fill up my favourite tea bags everyday.

I just wanted to let you know how much I valued that effort, how impressive and gracious and how greatly I appreciate everything that you personally and your staff did for me.
I will definitely recommend your hotel to our friends, colleagues and family
I have already decided to return to your hotel for our next vacation in October.
I hope to get the same quality of service when we return.
Thank you very much again for such outstanding service and see you soon.
