I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

Better known as the Bokai Boutique Hotel, the location is everything for this smallish property. It's rated 3 star and that's probably fair enough, but it's a hotel that needs some TLC to bring it back to life.

Just a short walk from the Ding'an Road Metro Station on Red Line 1, the hotel is close to the old town and the west lake areas, as well as being a stone's throw from a cheap night market and some really good street food spots when the market opens around 6:00PM.

The hotel lobby is a bit tired, but that's nothing compared to the sad state of the floors. When you check in, even if you've paid in advance or are paying by credit card, they insists on a RMB100 cash deposit. No cards accepted for this transaction. There's a single elevator to the dark corridors on each floor, which is slow and cramped.

The rooms are very tired and in desperate need of a refresh. The wallpaper is peeling and is stained and dirty, as is the wooden furniture. The WIFI is exceptionally complicated and you'll need to have the reception connect you as it involved passwords and logins and having done all that, you then have to enter a phone number and receive an SMS password. It's ludicrous. You'll then find you're bombarded with spam and pop up notices all the time you're online.

There's bottled water in the room, but it's not free. Use it and pay for it. Best to buy your own and the supermarket across the street. There's a kettle, but no tea or coffee provided. There's also no cafe on site, so there's no breakfast.

The bed is very hard, but the sheets are certainly clean. However, even the non smoking rooms reek of cigarettes. I assume that's why all the windows were open when I checked in. Resulting, of course, in a mosquito invasion. The walls are covered in the carcasses of previous biters. It made for a miserable stay. Make sure you bring repellent.

There is good aircon and a TV, but I never turned it on. There's no safe, but there is a small closet.

The bathroom is tiny and really grubby. Cracked tiles, mildew, stains, dirty walls. All rather unpleasant. The towels were OK but the water pressure is very low.

I got a great rate for this property and I can see why. The location is everything. But the hotel is of a poor standard and needs work to improve it.

  • Small Room, Good location

Nanjing, China | Dec 23, 2016 | Trip type: Friends getaway

I was traveling with my older coworker and we always share a room with two beds. I booked a room with one bed and requested an extra roll away bed and when we checked in they said they did not do roll away beds. We were told while booking that we could get an extra bed for 30¥ per night so they upgraded us to a room with 2 twin beds for the same price.

The hotel is very small so you can hear all the comings and goings, renovations, and cleaning that may be going on in the building. There was no hotel breakfast option that I could see but there is a nice 24hr cafe and bookstore on the corner across the street.

Only about 10-15 minutes walk from west lake and city center. I would recommend finding a restaurant called Banana Leaf while you are in Hangzhou. Delicious!

The hotel itself was fine value for money. Rooms were shabby, but clean. Only one person working at reception spoke English, and he was very helpful, when available. If I go back to hangzhou, I will stay on the north side of the lake -- it's much more attractive and close to God restaurants and bars.

The staff at this hotel was accommodating and very friendly but spoke little English. They did go out of their way and called up a guy to translate for us. The rooms are rather small but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean

Its not exactly a conveniently located hotel. Neither is it situated near a food street. But the room is clean, and comes with a decent desktop for movie streaming or internet work. Note that it is not huge luggages friendly. There isn't any ramp to drag up or down, and no.potter services. Perhaps their target audience are light travellers?
Does not come with a bath tub, making bathing young infants more challenging. No in room safe, nor mini bar. But there is a supermart just across the street.
A nice 麻辣汤 is immediately next door, and its opened to 1am! I digressed...
The three bedded room has only one aircon, and even though it is very strong, the air doesnt seem to be able to reach the entire room but stuck in one area, making it very cold in one area and warm in another.
Hotel provides condoms in the room for a fee, and mineral drinks are not free.
