I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Luxury resort- great for family
    4tuataras
Auckland, New Zealand | Oct 11, 2015 | Trip type: Family

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children (11yrs) stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our holiday/trip in China.
We arrived after a hectic 3 weeks of travelling all over, and it was great to receive such a friendly welcome in such a beautiful setting!
All the staff we encountered were friendly and so helpful. Great English.
Our room was spacious, although we had to sort out our bedding with the staff. The room we had, had a king size and a couch. One child sleep on this, and a rollaway was also brought in- so problem was solved.
The room was great with shower and bath in the lower part of the room, with the beds in the upper area (only up 2 steps from the bath area).
Fridge and tea/coffee facilities provided. Also has a 'cloak room' where we kept our bags/packs.
Buffet breakfast was included in our room rate- and what a fantastic offering! Fruit, cereals, yoghurts, western offering (bacon, waffles, pancakes and pastries), along with Asian offering- steamed buns, rice/noodle dishes etc. one of the Managers- Rose was so friendly and loved speaking English to us, but all the waiting staff were great.
We also tried to buffet dinner one night- (they have themed buffet every night) in the Big Kitchen restaurant. We booked before 4, so price was reduced, and kids under 12 were half price (with paying adult). We ate the Thai buffet with free beer, fruit juice and soft drinks, which was well worth it!
The pools are amazing and were the highlight (along with food) for our girls. We spent most of the time in the large/deep 'infinity' pool near the beach end of the complex. The kids water slide is quite short but fun for kids under 160cm. The adult slide wasn't working while we were there but we weren't fussed. There are also 2 kiddies 'beach' pools- with sandy beach going into the water.
Lots of options for food/drink, although we only ate at Big Kitchen.
If you leave the resort, turning right onto the road, and walk 2 blocks- past the Marriott, you will reach a small shopping complex. There is a small supermarket in the basement with chips, pots of instant noodles, biscuits, coconut sweets, drinks inc beer. We bought a few supplies and took them back to our room/fridge.
We also ate at 1 of the 4 restaurants in this complex. If you walk up the driveway past the supermarket entrance, walk up the stairs to lift to Double Happiness Restaurant. It is Cantonese food, decor of Hong Hong (street names), and the food was wonderful! We ate 3 dinners here, and 2 lunches- trying some of the main dishes as well as desserts! Our girls favourite was the mango smoothie, and the egg tarts were hot and delicious. Back at the Hilton resort, the spa/fitness area is lovely. We used the fitness room (weights, treadmills, stepper, cross trainer, bike was empty every time we went. Very clean with air cond (we had to turn it on each time), water etc.we didn't try any spa treatments but it looked very clean/comfortable.
There were activities available for both adults and chiildren, but we just relaxed by the pool. There is also a bar area with pool tables.0
On our final day we checked out at 12pm (usual time), but weren't planning to catch a taxi until 5pm (late flight home). We che led out, but left our bags at reception. The reception staff said that we were welcome to use the pools (which we did), and also the spa area showers (complete with steam room/sauna/plunge pools, and a spacious shower building with towels/products etc. We really appreciated the use of this, as Sanya airport doesn't seem to have many facilities (none in arrival area- not sure about departure area).
A wonderful, relaxing end to our China adventure!

  • So relaxing

Shanghai, China | Oct 7, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

Had a wonderful weekend visit and wish I could have stayed longer. The property is very impressive upon entering. Every staff member is available to help without being intrusive which I appreciate. The room is very comfortable and I enjoyed the semi private garden. The included breakfast has everything you could ask for but for me the most enjoyable were the various pools and the proximity to the beach for all the swimming your body can handle. The facilities are well maintained and though a busy time we waited for nothing. Downside was families screaming to each other in the corridor early in the morning with no regard to other guests but in other areas things were more civilized.

    Eastbourne | Sep 28, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

We have just got back from China and stayed at hilton sanya ! The hotel lovely great disable facilities every part accessible even down to the beach! Room very big and more than enough room to get wheelchair around ! Just a few niggles wet room bit of skid pan shower was broken and lack of handrails they could do better ! Had to nag a bit about lack of enough water and tea/coffe in room also housekeeping and cleaning of room was bit slapdash but they got it by day3 ! Also why would you have to pay for WiFi when you can only get in room and lobby !! Have to Say though our travel agent said it was 5star I pushed to give to 4 ! If they want more westerners to stay they need to up their game! As there a lot more hotels being built in sanya the hilton will struggle to keep up!

wonderful 4 night stay. staff in this hotel very friendly and obliging. we had a few problems with English translation, but the hotel went out of it's way, after mentioning this to Front Desk Manager, and did their best for us. perfect beach location, rooms were spacious and clean. one of the better Hilton Hotels I have stayed in.

  • Great place and great stay!

Portland, Oregon | Aug 12, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

Was upgraded to a King Ocean View room. The room, and view, were absolutely amazing! We had our own private balcony that had a great view of the property, the sea; and, sunrise & sunsets. There was a small problem with flowers I had ordered. I had requested they be in the room prior to arrival; and, this did not happen. The guest manager I had been speaking with prior to my arrival, Lolita, made up for this in style. After returning to our room from lunch our first day; there was a gorgeous arrangement of the flowers and towels folded into unique shapes like you find on a cruise ship. There was also flower petals sprinkled throughout; along with a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit bowl. And, the flowers themselves were comp'ed as well. The property is gorgeous as well. The pool has a swim up bar. and, as you would expect, everything there is rather expensive. Pretty good drinks and food, though. Our first Saturday, we had the seafood bbq on the beach; and, that was delicious. The only bad thing about the property was there was no executive lounge; so, breakfast was with the rest of the hotel guests and their families in the 'Big Kitchen'. This tended to be rather crowded and noisy. On the mornings that it wasn't raining, took care of the noise by eating outside. All in all, a great stay that I plan on doing again. Highly recommend this property if you're in the area. It is away from Sanya itself; and, the crowds. Given this, I can't speak about the nightlife around the hotel. There is a small mall about a 20minute walk from the hotel. This has a Pizza Hut; which, of course we did visit once. Which, as with the other Pizza Huts throughout China, has a great menu. Also, several other restaurants, along with a Starbucks, and shopping here.
