I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • As good as it gets
    Banbury | Oct 14, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

This hotel is truly outstanding! An oasis of calm in the centre of manic Shanghai with everything on your doorstep. Superb rooms with the best beds ever! The restaurant serves both Chinese and Western food to true 5 star standards. After 2 weeks of oriental cuisine I had a wonderful steak cooked to perfection. Service is everything you would expect from a world class hotel.

  • Really Nice Place to Stay
Dunfermline, United Kingdom | Oct 14, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed here as part of a Wendy Wu tour, the rooms were luxurious, well appointed and very clean. The lobby area served nice cocktails and the cafe; breakfast and an excellent, if expensive, buffet. The hotel is very well placed, just a short walk to the Bund and very close to some very nice shopping streets.
Shanghai itself is amazing, so vibrant and with some incredible buildings. A trip on the Maglev train is also a must do.
We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this hotel.

  • Enjoyable Shanghai Stay
Sydney, Australia | Oct 10, 2015 | Trip type: Family

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in a standard twin room which was extremely spacious and well appointed for a 5 star hotel. The king size single beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was huge and well appointed with double sinks and a separate toilet. The staff here were very helpful and friendly. They helped us with translations for the taxi drivers to get to certain places we wanted to visit. The hotel facilities were excellent and the lobby bar and restaurant of a very high standard. The location of this hotel was perfect, only a 10- 15 min walk to the Bund, 2 mins walk to Nanjing Rd East, and a 10 min walk to People's Square, 2 min walk to the Metro train station. The Metro was very easy to use and navigate, directions are in English and Chinese. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

  • Great hotel
Dallas, Texas | Oct 3, 2015 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and attentive staff. Overall a great experience.
Three minor gripes that knock it down to a 4.
    1. Even with the do not disturb illuminated, we had a house keeping attendant banging on the door as early as 7am each day.
    2. On the last day in Shangahi my wife and I ordered room service to save time. The food came on time, but was mediocre at best, and it wasn't cheap.
    3. The business center. This is the only area where the staff members were not very friendly, and they charge for use.
Overall the hotel was nice and in an excellent location.

  • Very Grand & Central
Port Glasgow, Scotland | Oct 3, 2015 | Trip type: Couples

Wowwwwww! When you walk through the doors of this hotel it takes your breath away! The hotel is in a good location, near the subway and shops, but taxis are so inexpensive it really doesn't matter. The rooms are gigantic with a lovely bath, big shower, fridge and even a box with stapler etc. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. We had a fantastic couple of days in Shanghai and hope to return someday, when we do we will definitely stay at the Grand Central.
