One of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in
lesroccarioAlbany, New York | Oct 14, 2015 | Trip type: Couples
This is just a beautiful, memorable, timeless experience. The best location on the Bund with the famous skyline across the river. Fantastic rooms. Lovely service. Every in room amenity imaginable. Great breakfast. Fitness, pool and spa area peaceful and irresistible.
A comfortable place on the Bund
aysmakHong Kong, China | Oct 14, 2015 | Trip type: Business
It is in a busy district. The room is comfortable so that you do not feel it at all.
You may choose to do shopping, having breakfast outside with reasonable price and good quality. The room charges are a bit steep but this is the price to pay.
A wonderful experience at the Fairmont

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Fairmont for six nights as a special occasion as we were celebrating both our 50th birthdays this year.
We were initially contacted by Lily Li with a welcome email to the Fairmont before we arrived which was much appreciated. I then corresponded with Lily before we got there and she helped us with some tourist information and helped booked some tickets for a show for us.
I wanted to personally thank Lily and Chelsea for taking care of us at the beautiful Fairmont hotel. We first stayed at a Fairmont hotel last year in San Francisco and had a wonderful experience there so we were so pleased to have been able to book the Fairmont in Shanghai.
It was so lovely to have been personally welcomed by you when we arrived.
We were able to rely on your Concierge service thankfully, as so little English is spoken. The lady on the desk (Ellen or Eileen) helped us and booked train tickets for us so that we could visit the West Lake, out of town. She gave us all the Chinese script we needed to get taxi’s from the train station and back again. We had a lovely day. Please thank her.
We were very sad to leave you even though we still had more time in Shanghai. We were over in Xintandi as you know and enjoyed the restaurants and our time over there.
So, once again, thank you for making our time with you such a lovely time! We will recommend you to our friends if they plan a journey over to Shanghai.

Only Place to Stay in Shanghai!!

I stayed here during my business trip in July this year for a 3-4 nights and it was superb, the best hotel in Shanghai by far. The historical background is immense and I'm delighted to have been able to stay here.
Special thanks to Ms. Diane Chen who made sure everything went well as we had to extend our breakfast times and/or accommodate guests for meetings. She was highly efficient yet attentive and I will definitely stay here again for both business and personal trips to Shanghai.
The Fairmont Peace Hotel is lovely - rooms are nicely appointed with many amenities

The staff is very willing to please and make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Food preferences were acknowledged and accommodated by dining staff, Hotel was centrally located. Everyone at the hotel was extremely pleasant. Great restaurants, spa and pool facilities as well. The Cathay restaurant has amazing food and fantastic view of the waterfront. Room was very quiet and comfortable.
