I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Not for Non-Chinese People
Valencia, Spain | Jun 26, 2017 | Trip type: Business

Stayed at this hotel last week for 6 days while attending the CPHI in Shanghai.

This was my second stay at this hotel and I must say I was let down on various aspects during my this stay. To be fair to the hotel I will point out the positives and the negatives both.

    Positives :
    The rooms are quite large.
2 bottles of bottled water provided daily free of cost.
The walls are quite thick and you don't hear any noises from adjoining rooms.
Bathrooms quite big. Infact as large as the bedroom with separate bath tub and a shower area.
The Breakfast is quite good and the restaurant has good quality food for reasonable price.

    Negatives :
The corridors and the rooms have this constant mold smell. As soon as you climb any floors the smell is too strong and stays till inside the rooms.
The beds are not comfortable at all. They are too hard and not straight. The one in my room had a bend at the centre and I remember the same from my previous stay in this hotel.
Although the rooms look clean (with the little amount of illumination available), if you observe closely there is a lot of dust everywhere. Traces of shoddy repairs, holes in the curtains, holes in the towels all point to a very poor state of upkeep of the hotel.
The wifi is not very strong and surfing hassle free is not possible.
On one day the milk at the coffee station was curdled and nobody seemed to be bothered.
The lighting is very low. Despite putting on all the lights in the room, you feel like you have just put on a few candles in the rooms.
The hotel is on a highway. Hence to go anywhere you need to call for a taxi at the reception.

The staff don't speak any English or any other foreign language. For communicating anything you have to use translator. With Google banned in China, I would recommend you to install the translator app to be able to use the translation tool to communicate with the hotel.

In all, not a very comfortable stay as getting anything done was an effort at this hotel.

I don't think I would be staying at this hotel for my next trip. For the same price there are now multiple options available in better areas.

  • Trendy decor, huge rooms & even bigger bathrooms!
Pacific Grove, California | Apr 18, 2017 | Trip type: Family

Hotel exceeded my expectation because of the low price I paid I was expecting it to look nothing like the photos. The rooms are massive, super spacious with wet bar, closet, office workspace & seating area. Everything is controlled electronically, including the black out shades. The bathrooms are even more spacious than the bedrooms with dual sink, deep soaking tub, separate toilet & a spiral rain shower. All this with heated floors! Curtains provide privacy between bath & bed. The hotel also provides comlimentary breakfast that offers both western & Asian dishes - some very good choices. The only drawbacks is that the location is difficult for public transportation, they no longer offer airport shuttle as advertised, the front desk personnels were not as well trained, also the lighting in the rooms are super dark, also there is traffic noise because it is located in front of a main road. But for under US$60, it was perfect for my ovenight transfer stay.

  • Large room with unique design
    Lizhe L
Melbourne, Australia | Oct 20, 2015 | Trip type: Solo travel

I got this place on a big discount, so for the price I am very happy.
The room was very large, in fact it's probably one of the biggest hotel rooms I've stayed at. all the standard fittings, however, there was no safe (or perhaps I didn't find it....)
The style of the room was on the strange side, it was modern but dark and cold, I liked it anyhow.
The bathroom was huge, the shower was very comfortable, the bed was soft and clean.
    A few minor issues:
There's something wrong with the shampoo and/or conditioner, it turned my hair into dreadlocks and I'm Chinese.
The TV stations were not in the order listed, and they did not have the international channels as promised.
There was a gym, but it had limited opening hours, and when I got there during their limited opening hours it wasn't even open. I suppose I could have called the front desk, but I couldn't be bothered.
Here's the major downside, the location. It's no where near the city and it's located a fair way from the subway station, and to get there you have to walk past a highway with this confusing pedestrian underpass, there was also no decent food places around, unless if you like street food (which are generally unsafe in China). The nearest convenience store was also quite far.

  • Value for Money Hotel, ceteris paribus........
London, United Kingdom | Apr 6, 2015 | Trip type: Business

The Hotel very near the Shanghai New Expo, can be a boon for those attending the Expo.....however for the rest of the people, you may wish to weigh the cons.......!!
Since Uber is available in Shanghai, do use the sign language as most of the drivers donot speak english. I was adventurous enough to land on a highway, instead of the Expo, but then this driver was a total idiot of sorts!
More on the Hotel, the Continental Breakfast is an excuse here but tell the Chef and he makes you a good spanish omelette! Rely more on the fruits and the fried rice, bacon & sausages to make your breakfast complete!
Frankly, for the visitors who would not mind having a bathroom, the same size as their bedroom, this is the hotel for them! A 50 Sq M Room at this price is quite impossible to get. However be prepared to learn their Room Management System for the lights & air conditioning though. Plus you better like their low lit romantic chinese lighting and ambience of the room. I really did not try asking them to provide a softer mattress, the one in the room is not awfully soft!
Be prepared that you are in the middle of nowhere, however Taxi rides from the hotel are within 4-6 Kms bring you to most of the places around in Pudong. However the Bund / Nanjing area is a good 9-10 Kms from here. The Technology museum appox. 3Kms from the Hotel was a good find, which i saw on the Trip advisor itineraries. The shopping in the underground market attached to this Museum would surprise you!
I spent 5 Nights here and frankly did admire the size of the room every time i returned to the room. Overall, a very different but a pleasant experience for me, as I did not expect much, to start off with. On a budget, it sure is value for money, ceteris paribus!

  • Nice rooms, good value
Yantai, China | Dec 27, 2014 | Trip type: Couples

I stayed here a while ago and found the staff helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean and nice. Location at the front of the hotel was not good but if you exit via the back there's lots of good places around and even a Domino's pizza nearby. It works for a quick stopover. Not too far from the airport and getting into Shanghai. It's good value for staying somewhere comfortable on a budget and good massage places around.
