I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Great Potential. Excellent location.

Jupiter, Florida | Jul 11, 2018 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed here for six nights. We checked-in at midnight and it was very easy.
Our room had its own router in the closet and the wifi was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept on in three years of travel. We really hated to give that bed up. There were three english channels on the TV (HBO, Discovery and a sports channel). The fitness center had Life Fitness equipment and was teriffic. The foosball table, ping pong table and billiard table were are in great shape and fun to use. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop garden and the general purpose area on the 6th floor. For breakfast, we went to the lady behind the counter and she made us over easy eggs to order and noodle soup. For us, that was the best choice of all the offerings.
Now for areas for improvement. Upon check-in there were nail clippings on the counter and floor in our room. There was hair on the floor from a previous guest. Food was spilled on the floor in front of the sofa and down the front of the lower cabinets. The drawers in the kitchen were sticky. The desk top drawers had not been cleaned in quite a while. There were handprints from a previous guest on the yellow glass wall separating the bathroom from the living space. Even the door handles in the room were dirty.
We paid extra for black-out curtains and a soundproof room. The curtains did not even cover the space of the window. Even on the 12th floor, we could hear conversations on the street that lasted into the early hours of the morning.
This room needs to be cleaned more than just a quick vacuum, cleaning the bathroom and making the bed.
I would definitely stay here again. Hopefully, management inspects each room and provides a more detailed cleaning schedule for housekeeping.

  • Good price/quality rate
Den Bosch, The Netherlands | Jul 6, 2018 | Trip type: Friends getaway

We stayed in the citadines for 3 nights. The hotel is located on walking distance to the main sights in Xi’an like the citywall and the Bell tower. It’s also close to the metro station and several ATM’s.

The rooms were tidy and clean, but the bathroom was a bit outdated. The shared living area is a great place to play cards or read your book.
The staff at the desk was friendly, most of them speak some English.

The breakfast that was included in our booking was alright. It offers both Chinese as western foods.

This hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a place to stay in a bit lower sigment. I think this hotel has a great price/quality rate.

  • a little paint will do this place good

Fort Worth, Texas | Jul 5, 2018 | Trip type: Family

The check-in process was easy and our rooms were ready when we arrived (always a plus). The room itself was spacious with a kitchenette that had everything you needed for a short stay. The only compliant I have of this place is that a simple can of paint would make this hotel look new again. There are marks everywhere that just makes it look dirty when I know it isn't. They had a OK breakfast buffet, not much to choose from but the food they did have was decent. It wasn't your typical breakfast buffet with bacon and eggs it had noodles and rice and slice bread.
The location of this hotel was perfect being only across the street from the Drum Tower and the Muslim Quarter. I would stay here again if I ever find myself in Xi'an again.

  • Great Location but Dated Rooms
    Frank L
Los Angeles, California | Jul 5, 2018 | Trip type: Couples

Wife and I were here for 2 nights in June.

The hotel was centrally located right next to the Bell and Drum tower Across from the Muslim Quarter. Getting to the Hotel from the airport via public transport was a breeze. Basically just an Official airport shuttle to the North Railway station and the subway to the Bell Tower. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the Exit. From the hotel we got to everywhere we needed via public transport. For example: subway to Big wild goose Pagoda. Bus 251 to the train station and tourist bus 5 (306) to Terracotta Warriors and Huaqing Palace. The Great Mosque, the Muslim Quarters, and the Wall were walking distance from the hotel.

Our check-in process was easy and simple, we were given a room with great WiFi and a comfortable bed. But the room although it is none-smoking, it still smelled like smoke from previous guests. I guess they don't really enforce the rules, so people still smoke in non-smoking rooms. We had to turn the AC on full blast for hours for the relieve of the smell. The furnitures were falling apart in the living room and needs to be updated. Bathroom amenities were great and the bed was clean and comfortable. At least we had 2 good night sleep here.

Breakfast was ok. I mostly go for the Chinese breakfast which consist of congee, youtiao, pickled vegi. and fruit. It was adequate, but I can see many westerners not liking the breakfast. Their western options were not great. Coffee was not good, no tea, and the juice were cheap boxed juices. Overall it did the job. Their gym was also adaquant for what it is.

Knowing how convenient XiAn is via public transport. We will most likely not be back to this hotel again, there is no reason to stay near the Bell tower at all. There are plenty of other more updated hotels or traditional Chinese hotels to stay in.

Overall it was an okay experience, you won't be disappointed staying here, but you also won't be wowed. The rooms matches the amount I was charged. It's an average stay.
